Game Vision Statement

Introduction:

Lone Wolf is a third-person stealth and strategy game developed for PC. Some strategic elements include avoiding enemy line of sight, figuring out puzzles and using your X-Ray vision to help you along the way.

Description:

You play as Mason, a highly trained agent who is usually chosen for missions of the highest stakes. For this particular mission, you have been sent to retrieve a deadly virus that terrorists have threatened to release in 48 hours. You will have to find your way around unfamiliar territory to retrieve the virus, getting caught will have consequences. Enemies, cameras and alarms will be there to challenge you throughout the game. X-ray vision will be something you use to your advantage, seeing enemy heat signatures through walls will help you with your movement for survival. This is a feature you can toggle on and off, it will change your vision and make it slightly more blurry as you use it. It's up to you what path you take and if you choose to take out your enemies one by one or completely avoid them.

Key Features:
  • X-Ray Vision.
  • Enemy Take-downs.
  • Advanced Artificial Intelligence.
  • Camera, Alarms and lasers.
  • Sneaking.
  • Finding keys or documents.
Genre:

Stealth game featuring many of the features of popular stealth games including Splinter Cell, Hitman and Dishonored.

Platform:

Game is built for PC, a simple windows/mac game that can be played online. Single player only game.

Concept Art:

The idea of stealth and being hidden. This is just an example and is way more advanced.

Resources Required:

Resources that are required would be many useful tutorials on Youtube to create a functional stealth game with working AI's and to create a terrain that would work for this type of game. Resource that I will have to create include the virus you have to collect, cameras, AI's and alarms. These resources should all be available and also achievable.

Game play:

The game play would be determined by how you want to complete your mission. You can either have a fast paced stealth mission where you take down your enemies or you can choose the slower route and try and sneak past your enemies and stay hidden from all the objects in your path.

Target Market:

The targeted audience for this game would be people who enjoy game of strategy where you are under pressure but can also play at your own pace to complete the mission. The age range would be 13+ as it contains some violent aspects.

  1. Hi Dylan!

I really enjoyed reading your game idea! Although I don't usually play video games I think this is a very exciting and promising game idea. Adding x-ray vision to the gameplay is really interesting! This seems really complex but with a lot of work I think this could be a very entertaining game to play. Is there anything else you're thinking of adding to the game? I hope this game works out well for you! I'm excited to see the final outcome.

  2. Hi Dylan
I really enjoyed your game idea especially all the key features you considered adding to it such as cameras , laser's and finding keys or documents . One thing that really intrigued me was the aspect of the player choosing if he would like to take out his or her enemies or just avoid them entirely as I like that it gives the player more variety and incentive to play on through choices ,However what if you made it that in certain parts of the game when these options come up there are consequences that affect the players story as a way to keep the player on edge/alert throughout his or her gameplay/play though and to keep them interested in the overall story progression. Another what if Idea I would consider would be what if the keys and documents you find throughout the story give you hints of what is to come in the future bits of the story giving the players incentive to find them. I loved reading this concept and am looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

    Best of luck

  3. Hi Dylan

Really enjoyed reading your idea for a game stealth games can be really fun... if you have the patience for them. All I could think of when I saw the name Mason was " The numbers Mason what do they mean!?". If your look for a good example of a tactical stealth game (in m opinion at least) have a look at Ghost Recon, it's a third persons tactical stealth shooter and is really fun to play.

Good luck with making your game.
