Reading 8

Following being out for the last few weeks I have been swamped with trying to catch up with everything, I still need to catch up with writing things out for the book. This weeks Readings we are focusing on writing the Introduction and Conclusion of our topics.  Here is a quick article on some advice on how to write an introduction to a chapter. https://www.anu.edu.au/students/academic-skills/research-writing/introductions/chapter-introductions.

An introduction is so important as it captures the attention of the reader and is the basis on whether they will continue reading on or just skip ahead. It needs to be certain that the introduction is well written and researched as it will be clear to the reader.

I'm going to take this time to start writing out some examples of introductions for my chapter and I'll see which I think suits best. I am writing on the chapter of Storytelling so I feel that is important to have an interesting introduction as storytelling is so important. A person who is into storytelling will most likely lose interest in a chapter of storytelling if it's written really plain using no interesting or creative way of explaining storytelling in a way that doesn't just sounds like a dictionary definition.

I'm going to do a lot more reading on writing interesting conclusions as I feel it's something I always just wrote and copied from my earlier writing. I want to make sure I want to keep the conclusion fresh whilst also touching on whatever I had written earlier that is of importance.

More catching up to do, fun!
